As a child, expert doctors thought Greg Farmer would never speak, much less entertain crowds. “After
13 surgeries before I was twelve years old I could’ve quit and said I’m not going to do anything, but I didn’t.
I kept on going. I’d always go back to Moses, and just like Moses, I’ve got a slight speech impediment. He’s
my hero. I don’t call it a handicap. It is if you let it be, but it’s not if you work through it. I thank God
that I now get go to schools, corporations, and churches and encourage kids and adults to fight courageously through the different
hurdles they face in life.”
Magic was instrumental in helping Farmer overcome many of the obstacles placed
in front of him as a child. The person that ultimately talked Farmer into being a full-time illusionist is one of the world’s
greatest magicians himself, Lance Burton. “When I was about 15 years old, Lance was performing a show nearby and that’s
where I first met him. We would keep in touch every so often and about ten years ago I got this wild idea to call him and
see if he could help me with my magic. I figured all he could do was to say no.” What was Burton’s response? “I’d
love to!” This started Lance and Greg’s professional friendship, and mentorship. Greg’s career as a full
time magician and communicator then begin.
In the end, Greg Farmer simply loves to entertain, keeping his schedule
filled with school and corporate appearances, as well as packing out churches and family events. With his gentle, southern
style, Farmer is immediately approachable. Pretentious has never been used to describe him. He’s a “salt of the
earth” country boy. The exact same guy on stage as you’d meet on the street. (From
