Pageant Information

The Carter County Fair Pageant is NOW open to residents of Carter, Bath, Boyd, Elliott, Fleming, Greenup, Lawrence, Lewis, Menifee, Morgan, and Rowan Counties

Beauty entry fee is $50, Optional include: Photogenic, $10 per photo (enter up to 5 photos no larger than 8x10, no frames)

All completed entry forms and photos must be returned to: Jeffrey Huffman at 150 Medina Hill, Olive Hill, KY 41164. (606) 923-6815.

It is the responsibility of the contestant to call and confirm receipt of entry if sent by mail.
Pageant officials reserve the right to combine divisions when there are fewer than three entries.
PRE-TEEN MISS, TEEN MISS,
AND MISS ADVANCE TO STATE

These winners will advance to the Kentucky state fair pageants! They will also be required to attend the Carter County Fair on assigned nights.

We will be using the state fair scoresheets for each division.

All Pre-teen, teen and miss Contestants will be interviewed prior to the start of the pageant. Each contestant in miss and pre-teen will appear three times on Stage: once in interview attire, once in swimsuit (Sportswear for pre-teen contestants), and once in evening gown.

The teen contestants will only compete in interview and evening gown. The Teen contestants will only appear on-stage two times: once in interview and once in evening gown.

Contestants will introduce themselves on stage, State age, state Parent/Guardian name and state school or college attended or place of employment. This will take place in interview attire.

Winners will receive a crown, trophy and sash. Runners-up will receive a trophy.
ALL OTHER AGE CATEGORIES:
On stage one time. Attire is personal Preference. Pageant wear is acceptable, but not required. Winners will receive a crown, trophy and sash. Runners-up will receive a trophy and sash.
PHOTOGENIC:
No photo larger than an 8X10 will be accepted. Photos may be color, black/white or
sepia. Contestant name and category must be on back of picture. Photos may be picked up at the end of an award session at the designated table. The winner will receive a trophy and sash!

You will receive an email or text letting you know that your entry has been received.
CROWD FAVORITE AWARD:
Voted on by the Spectators! The winner will receive a trophy and sash! it will be $1 per vote. We will not accept coins as it is not feasible to count in this short amount of time
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Contestant must complete in beauty competition to be eligible for photogenic competition.
It is the contestants’ responsibility when mailing applications to call and make sure they are received by July 31, 2026. No refunds. NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN THE DAY OF THE PAGEANT.
Judges decisions are final and score sheets will not be returned.
NOTICE: The Carter County Fair pageant committee, the Carter County Fair Board of Directors, West Carter High School and the Carter County Board of Education cannot be held responsible for any lost or damaged items. The above will not be held responsible if you contract the COVID virus.
